Dr. Shashi Alloju is a Board Certified Eye Physician and Surgeon. Dr. Alloju not only practices comprehensive ophthalmology including the surgical management of routine and complex cataracts, he also specializes in medical and surgical management of corneal diseases and performs laser vision correction. Dr. Alloju's passion for Ophthalmology stems from the surgical management of eye disease that can result in vision preservation and restoration.
Dr. Alloju has excelled throughout his training. Graduating at the top of his medical school class, he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honors society. After receiving his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch School of Medicine in 2009, he attended a rigorous training program in Ophthalmology at the prestigious University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, TX. During his training, he served as the clinic and surgical chief and graduated with the highest volume of cataract surgeries among his peers. Upon completion of residency, Dr. Alloju travelled to Portland, OR to the renowned Casey Eye Institute, where he completed a extensive fellowship in cornea/external disease and refractive surgery.

Dr. Pooja Alloju, a proud DFW native, has spent much of her life in the area. She earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Applied Mathematics from Southern Methodist University, followed by a Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee, in 2021. During her studies, Dr. Pooja achieved notable honors, including induction into the prestigious Beta Sigma Kappa optometric honor society and recognition through the "SCO Achievement Award" and the "Dr. Fred Farias Endowed Scholarship."
Dr. Pooja further honed her expertise during a Cornea and Contact Lens Residency at Nova Southeastern University, specializing in the management of anterior segment disease and advanced contact lens fitting. Her residency provided opportunities to lecture on specialty contact lenses and present case studies at national optometric conferences. She was awarded the "Florida Chapter Resident Travel Fellowship" for the American Academy of Optometry and the "Scleral Lens Society Travel Grant" for the Global Specialty Lens Symposium. Today, Dr. Pooja is a Fellow of both the American Academy of Optometry (FAAO) and the Scleral Lens Society (FSLS).
She is an active member of the Texas Optometric Association, American Academy of Optometry, and the Scleral Lens Education Society. She is also certified in Euclid and MiSight lenses for Myopia Management. She has a particular interest in performance-enhancing lenses for athletes and is also engaged in medical and contact lens research.
Outside of her professional life, Dr. Pooja enjoys video gaming, traveling, and cherishing time with her husband, son, and nephews.
