Conditions we treat

Cataracts

Cataract  refers to clouding of the natural lens in the eye which causes blurred vision, glare, and hazy vision. Cataract surgery is a safe effective procedure to remove cataracts and implant a new lens in your eye. We offer the latest generation astigmatism correcting (Toric) as well as presbyopia correcting (Multifocal) intraocular lenses to allow patients to be free of glasses.

Keratoconus

Keratoconus is a genetic condition that causes the cornea to bend into an irregular cone shape. This causes vision to be blurry, shadowed, and possible double vision. Treatment involves halting the process through a procedure called Collagen Crosslinking.

Dry Eye Syndrome

Dry Eye Syndrome is a condition where there are insufficient tears or poor quality tears to lubricate and nourish the eye. Tears are necessary for maintaining clear vision. People with dry eyes, often have blurry vision, sensation of burning, itching, sandy or gritty sensation in their eyes, worse as the day progresses.

Near or Far sightedness

LASIK / PRK is a type of refractive surgery that can help you get out of using glasses or contacts! We also do routine eye exams and prescribe glasses or contact lenses.

Diabetic Retinopathy

Diabetic Retinopathy refers to a group of eye problems that people with diabetes may face as a complication of diabetes. All can cause severe vision loss or even blindness. It is caused by changes in the blood vessels of the retina.  In severe cases, laser surgery is necessary for treatment. It is important for all diabetic patients to have yearly exams!

Glaucoma

Glaucoma is a disease that damages your eye's optic nerve. It has multiple causes but is usually related to increased pressure inside the eye. Glaucoma is a silent disease and once vision is lost, it cannot be restored. Glaucoma is the leading cause of blindness for people over 60 years old. Glaucoma cannot be cured but vision loss can be prevented with early treatment.
